5. Environmental Management System
PROTECTA actively participates in a Collective Alternative Management System (Extended Producer Responsibility scheme for packaging), which undertakes, on behalf of its members, the collection and recovery of packaging materials in order to meet national targets, in alignment with European Union requirements.
In addition, PROTECTA internally implements:
- Waste separation through appropriately designated bins across all workspaces
- Recycling of consumables (ink cartridges, batteries, power supplies)
- Return and reuse of pallets in cooperation with suppliers
- Reduction of single-use plastics by replacing them with sustainable alternatives
- Management of electronic waste, including the recycling of IT equipment, devices, and batteries
